I was reading an article today that was discussing a new model for advertising called the Cost Per Action. If you are working with an advertising agency chances are they do not fully understand the overall impact of CPC and CPA. What this means is that advertisers would not pay on a Cost Per Click (CPC) basis as is the norm today, but rather pay services such as Google and Yahoo, only on clicks to their sites that actually result in a lead or sale. The one main glitch here is that those Advertisers will have to disclose some of the sales info to verify the sign up or sale.
We have used the Adsense model for a year now, and the CPC, while it does work, does have room for Click fraud, which appears to be growing. With CPA, you actually are paying for customers requesting more information or an actual sale. I found it interesting that in this article, they seemed to think this was a new way of doing business, which is not the case. You can look to an advertising agency like That Advertising which started on the internet and understand the tools and resources to help you grow your business and revenue.
The other creative way that we have found to generate traffic and improve our SEO and revenue is by giving away free stuff. Consider offering a free service that is beneficial to the consumer. Offer free update services, a newsletter or an e-zine. If you’re worried that this may be too time consuming, put your fears aside. You can obtain free services that will notify you when someone has signed up for your newsletter and through the use of a distribution list on your e-mail you can easily handle circulation for your newsletter or e-zine. Keep in mind, however; when you are putting together your newsletter or e-zine that the only reason a consumer has for signing up and continuing to subscribe to your publication is for worthy information. Don’t allow your publication to become a forum for advertising. Provide information that is of real benefit to the reader and that convinces them to re-visit your site. In order to really make a quality publication make sure you include a privacy statement and provide a link in the publication for the customer to unsubscribe at any time if they wish.

This year I made an investment in a wireless printer that was probably one of the best investments that I have made when upgrading one of my computing components. With the multi print cartridges we wanted to look for one that had inkjet cartridges that would not cost a fortune. I have set up our wireless network with the latest wireless-N router and the access points and speed that we saw when upgraded was very impressive. We have two laptops and three other PC’s throughout the house that our entire family can use to access the internet and surf, check out facebook, or play games. What I found is that there many times when my kids or wife wanted to be able to print something out and this caused a great deal of aggravation. I also checked out the cheap ink prices to make sure we could save money with all the printing we would be doing now. Since we only had one computer that was hooked up to the printer our options were to save the file to a memory stick, or physically hook up the laptop or PC to the printer.
The one that we purchased also had the faxing and scanning features which were great additions. Plus it had three separate printer ink cartridges to help the overall cost. The scanning feature allows you to scan any image to any computer that is connected to the network. Plus the fact that this wireless printer was so easy to install we just followed the instructions that came with it and had all 5 computers hooked and printing within 30 minutes total. Now my kids can do their homework from the dining table together and if there is any research that they need done they can simply print it off without the hassle. We have even given limited access to neighbors so that if they need something printed in color they can just send it on over. The security on our device is very impressive and the quality is just as good as any other ink jet printer.

Every business has their prime time hours for business each day and using am e-commerce solution for their online website will help them reach people 24/7. At least most places can identify a certain time each day and days of the week where they get the majority of their business. Some places can do enough business outside their best hours of operations, to still turn a profit and it make it worth their extended business hours. A lot of these areas in the retail sector have noticed this too and they have went to a 24 hour a day business. Your business may not be ready to go to a 24 hour a day schedule, but how much extra business are you losing by closing your doors to customers each day?
There are some more professional ways a business can conduct their self after hours and stand a much better chance of retaining this business for the next day. Hiring a professional ecommerce website design to implement live support and chat features on your blog or website can personalize your customers experience. This gives your customers or potential future customers a chance to speak with a live person and leave a detail message about why they were calling in. These professional call center services can relay these messages back to your employees the following business day and gives your company a chance to get back in touch with them as soon as possible. Investing upfront in a good professional ecommerce design and solution will only pay for itself in customer satisfaction. This is one of the better ways to benefit and get business done; while your typical business hours are over with for the day.
