With the boom of the cyber generation and social media, online marketing has become the next big thing in the world. As Generation-Y is more reluctant to embrace online reviews and social media marketing, the demand for websites and online marketing is growing each and every day. With the increase of different web platforms like Joomla and WordPress now, every organisation needs a website of their own. The demand for online marketing is growing simultaneously as well.

Website: The New Spokesperson

Websites have become the way of advertisement for the organisations. The development of Joomla and WordPress has made designing websites very easy and fluent. In the early 90’s, a website was all about coding an HTML page, which was known as static page in the World Wide Web. It lacked the creativity and attention needed for the crowd to be influenced about the featured product. Back then, it was all about words, and websites were an element only for the critics and reviewers. In early 2000, websites became the spokesperson of the organisation and its products. Products were included in an attractive way in banners, ads and posters in the site. Using java and plug-ins, the products were made visible and almost touchable on websites, then came the era of Content Management System (CMS) that made every person a web designer.

In early 2000, the world saw a dominating era of social media such as Facebook and Twitter. The more active a site is on social media platforms, the higher its ranking goes. Social Media Marketing strategy involves being active on important social sites that play host to a large number of visitors daily (like Facebook, Twitter etc.). These social sites help in garnering attention for promotional events, new launches and brand building.

As a result, the marketing sectors became dependent of online affiliation and viral marketing. The new thread of marketing sector became Social Media Marketing.

Online Marketing through PPC Management

With so many websites and so many reviews, the target customers became confused of which one was better and which one was not. Every leading company bombarded their customers with reviews and previews of their product.

As a result, Google Adsense became a money-making machine for the sites, using PPC Management (Pay per Click) and website optimisation to attract potential crowds to their website. Also, the advertisement should be attractive and linked to the company’s website. Advertisers pay the publishers when an advertisement is clicked. Unlike SEO, PPC Management allows you to direct your marketing efforts towards a target audience. Google Analytics and search engine bots came to the rescue by providing strict rules on the sites that used to have bulk information in every website they can lay their hands on to. Search engine optimisation became the rescuer of the sites from getting banned. With online and off-line optimisation, Google made strict rules on the site content. PPC Management also became an Income source for the reluctant web users.

Online marketing is a fast-growing industry that caters to millions. SEO, PPC, Social Media and website design & development are some tools directed towards increasing the website’s visibility.
