I was recently looking for a TV/Monitor stand for our fitness room to position a laptop or LCD TV close to our treadmill or elliptical rider. When you looked at the high end exercise equipment that all had LCD type displays that allow you to watch TV while exercising which can help pass the time and provide more motivation to work out. There are lots of monitor stands that will accommodate almost any type of monitor or HDTV. Some are pretty expensive so of you do your research you can find some great buys now.
There are models that allow you to string the cables and wires through the tubing so that you have a cleaner look and can help the wires out of the way. Look for what types of warranties that the stands carry in the event you get one that is not the right size or will not hold your TV. Also look at how long the company has been business and if they post customer reviews. You will want a company that will be there after the sale so should you have any issues you know that you will be taken care of and be able to talk to customer service.
