The latest down turn in the economy has forced more and more families to rethink their current job and financial security. The number of stay at homes now looking at getting back into the work force is increasing. The only problem is that these are typically lower paying jobs and and the competition for these jobs is much greater. There is a heightened awareness to go back and get your Masters Degree. In the world of finance they are looking for qualified candidates that can not only grow a business but also are ethical. The financial sector has taken a beating in the news on all the back room deals that have potentially costs consumers and investors billions. There are required courses that must be taken in order to gain your license. The Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) exam is required and several schools are now offering cfa prep course in accordance with guidelines to help real world course work in line with testing requirements. Many of the high end universities are expanding their course offerings to both online and in class training for a masters degree. This enables working professionals looking to expand their educational resume or those looking to get into a totally new field.
I am currently employed in the Health Care field and with the latest passage of the Health Care reform it creates some uncertainty as to what the future holds for our industry. It has gotten me thinking about what possibilities are available out in the job place where my sales and leadership skills can be used. I have started to look at going back to school to obtain my MBA in order to advance my education and make myself more marketable since the job pool is so large with many talented people now looking for work because of the recent down turn in the economy. With the growing expansion in the digital world it makes sense to look at getting a masters of information technology degree. The components of this degree can help increase your knowledge level around the global security and implementation of technology while providing leadership courses on managin IT teams. Companies are looking to deploy resources across a wide platform that will allow their employees and customers to interact at anytime. The digital age is changing at a blistering pace and schools are adapting their teachings to offer the most cutting edge technology so their students are prepared to enter the corporate world. In the health care world the trend is towards more personalized medicine to help the aging population. Health care providers and those that are involved in healthcare are in need of tools and knowledgeable employees to help deploy these tools. An advanced degree in information technology will only get bigger as the expansion of healthcare continues and more hospital and physician systems turn to digital solutions to manage their costs and patients.
