Thanks for the post from Nora Mccoy
My husband and I decided that we were going to take some time to see how we could cut costs at our home. We said we would each try to think of a way to cut our monthly bills by $100. We knew we had to start saving for our kids’ college funds, and this was the only way we were going to be able to do it. We knew we were aiming high, but we figured any savings would be welcome. I started clipping coupons, and it was easier than I thought. It didn’t take very much time, and there are a lot of them out there. I also started reading the grocery store circulars so that I could make sure to stock up on things we use while they are on sale. My husband went to expertsatellite.com and changed from cable to satellite TV. We didn’t realize how much cheaper that would be. He also gave up his weekly poker night with the guys, which is a huge sacrifice. The buy in in $20 a week, so that is a lot of money we could be saving. When we were done making cuts, we were saving even more than we expected.
